Aloha from China
I am here at the stadium for the opening of the World Games in Asia. They start in November and last for 2 weeks. Its a big deal for China. They are held in South China in Guangzhou City. These photos are taken from the top floor of the Ritz Carlton Hotel here in GZ…
This photo is of the view across the famous Zsujiang Pearl River toward the tallest structure in China which is called the Canton Tower. It contains a restaurant at the top and has an amazing light show at night. You can see this awesome building from most places in Guangzhou.
Guangzhou City, Beautiful Architecture
The second photo here is looking North toward the city. The unusual building in the fore ground is the Guanzhou City Concert Hall. One can only marvel at the world class architecture and state of the art building methods. I was here back when much of this was farmland and low level industrial. This was back over 20 years ago. Now it is just amazing to see how quickly China has grown to become a superpower.
Our Slimtique Spa
I am here visiting our spa called Slimtique and my partner from our old manufacturing days… This type of spa is very popular in China due to the fact that the environment is so polluted and the air and water especially. This compels the new wealthy class in China to pay attention to their health by frequenting medical spas. I do the same when I am here. Our spa is located in the Regal Rivera Hotel in GZ. One day I would like to open this same concept in Hawaii. I attended the annual event that celebrates the current Chinese Holiday, which is called “National Day which is actually October 1st but lasts 7 days in China… IT is the same as our 4th of July.
